How Mathematicians Know What Computers Can't Do
A look at tasks, both in mathematics and in computer science, that are provable impossible for computers to perform. The talk will cover why a compiler cannot catch all programming errors and why simple polynomial equations in number theory aren't so simple. Students are particularly invited to attend---the talk will be accessible to undergraduates.
