Title:

The Higher Dimensional Theory of Uniform Algebras

Abstract:

The speaker has previously defined a system of partial differential equations on complex n-space which include the Cauchy-Riemann equations as their simplest case, and which are related to the classical Monge-Ampere equation. In this talk we will report on our latest results relating solutions of these equations to higher dimensional generalizations of concepts from the theory of Uniform Algebras, such as maximum principles and peak sets.
