| This white blood cell is a lymphocyte. It is small with a dense purple nucleus and pink to blue cytoplasm with Wright's stain. The nucleus is about the size of a normal mature red cell. Lymphocytes are found in considerable numbers in normal peripheral blood (20-45% of total white blood cells) and are variable in appearance. |
