| The arrow points to an orthochromic normoblast, the last stage of red cell maturation with a nucleus. The nucleus is very dense and the cytoplasm is almost fully hemoglobinated. Orthochromic normoblasts are found normally only in the bone marrow. The cell on the bottom is a lymphocyte. |
